Singapore (Wednesday, 14th August, 2024): Lighthouse Canton, a global investment institution with wealth and asset management businesses, has announced the appointment of three senior financial industry executives to its senior leadership team. The appointments across its headquarters in Singapore and in London mark a significant step in its global expansion strategy. The three appointments are Amrit Singh, Henrik Aslaksen, and Balaji Prasanna who co-founded AWM Capital Partners. They will join the firm in the next couple of months post any relevant regulatory approvals, bringing with them a wealth of experience from the world's leading financial institutions. Amrit and Balaji will be based in Singapore while Henrik shall be based in London. They will all join the Executive Committee of Lighthouse Canton and Amrit will also join the Board of Directors.
These strategic appointments underscore Lighthouse Canton’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and addressing the investment needs of Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), families, and institutional clients.
Amrit, who joins as the Global Head of Key Clients and Institutions, brings over 25 years of experience, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Wealth Management for Global South Asia at Deutsche Bank. His proven track record in wealth management growth aligns perfectly with Lighthouse Canton’s ambitions to be a leading institution providing innovative investment solutions to ultra-high net worth individuals and institutions. Previously, Amrit held leadership positions in Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking Division as Head of M&A for India, Middle East and Africa, and Head of M&A for Telecoms in EMEA.

Balaji Prasanna, a seasoned industry veteran with over 35 years reshaping Private Banking and Lending at global financial organizations like Deutsche Bank, where he most recently served as Vice Chairman, joins Lighthouse Canton as Executive Vice Chairman - Key Client Solutions. Balaji’s tremendous expertise in structured lending and wealth planning is set to enhance Lighthouse Canton's capabilities in offering more comprehensive global wealth solutions for its clients.

Henrik, who will be appointed as President, Lighthouse Canton International, brings more than 30 years of M&A and Investment Banking expertise to strengthen Lighthouse Canton’s global investment banking capabilities. His distinguished career includes roles as Executive Chairman of Investment Banking and Capital Markets EMEA at CreditSuisse and Global Head of M&A and Global Co-Head of Investment Banking Coverage and Advisory at Deutsche Bank. Henrik’s extensive global investment banking experience will be crucial in expanding Lighthouse Canton’s capabilities and reach with family owned enterprises and owners.
This strategic move is expected to not only drive growth at Lighthouse Canton but also lead to the hiring of top talent across various geographies, further strengthening the company’s management team. The team is targeting to bring in 25-30 seasoned professionals across Lighthouse Canton’s wealth management, asset management and investment banking businesses.
